SOL HORNET is a character released as the third installment in the MEGAMI DEVICE Series.

Firstly, in terms of features, the first and second installments of the MEGAMI DEVICE Series were sold as a pair of two characters. However, starting with this third installment, SOL HORNET, it's sold as a standard type that has become familiar nowadays, featuring one body with one face part.

Another characteristic is that the character design for this installment is handled by a different illustrator, Kuroboshi Kouhaku-Sensei, as opposed to the first and second installments.

As for the optional armaments, they are mainly concentrated on the upper body. The dynamic and stylish design of the auxiliary wings equipped with a booster unit is one of SOL HORNET's most distinguishing features.
