Hello everyone. Today...... I'm not introducing Plastic Models! I'm Boss from Plastic Model Republic!

Ehhhhhh!!! Then what are we introducing today? Delicious sweets? I'm Saori from Plastic Model Republic.

Yes, today we're not introducing Plastic Models...... but I thought it would be nice to introduce some wonderful paper that you can assemble and enjoy displaying in the same way! It's very popular as a souvenir for people overseas! Perhaps those reading this article have seen it before......?
【PAPER THEATER】Although it's not a Plastic Model, how about trying to assemble some lovely “paper” once in a while? It's cute when displayed, PAPER THEATER!

What is PAPER THEATER?
PAPER THEATER is a craft kit made of paper, precisely cut with a laser, stacking colored paper and wooden frames to create impressive scenes featuring characters from manga, anime, and films. It's released by the leading anime goods company in Japan, ensky.CO.,LTD, and covers a range of classic and latest anime, including Disney works, Studio Ghibli, Pokemon, and so on.

Wow! It seems pretty cute, and with so many varieties, it looks like it would be worth assembling!

The assembly process is pretty straightforward - you just detach the laser-cut paper parts, stick them on, and put it together! From the side, it has quite a depth, which may be hard to capture in photos, but it results in a very three-dimensional finish.
All you need is a cutter, adhesive, and tweezers! The difficulty can be chosen from five levels, but it's not too challenging, so try assembling the character or work you're interested in!

Hmm, so we need just three types of tools! I wonder if people who usually build Plastic Models already have them......?

Well, you can use the tools you usually use, but since the material is paper, you might want to prepare separate ones if you're worried. I think it'll be okay, but just in case.

Alright! The reasons why it's popular as a souvenir for people from overseas seem to be that it's beautiful, nostalgic, and (when unopened) thin and not bulky! Everyone, why not try assembling a PAPER THEATER in between building your Plastic Models?
