'Ghost in the Shell' is a manga series created by Masamune Shirow that began serialization in the 1980s, and the anime series based on it.
It's a blockbuster work, hailed as a pillar of SF manga. It is set in a near-future Japan, with a cyberpunk-like worldview where digitization is commonplace.
It's a work that depicts the activities of the Public Security Police Agency “Public Security Section 9”, which the protagonist Motoko Kusanagi belongs to. The story's extremely serious and cool development is its charm, and the tension that pervades the entire work makes the robots and machines that appear even more attractive.
Tachikoma is a robot that appears in this GHOST IN THE SHELL, like a mascot character.
Yes, yes. It's a think tank owned by Public Security Section 9, where the protagonist Motoko-San belongs, and its characteristic color is a deep sky blue. By the way, there is another machine called Fuchikoma.
Eh! I didn't know about Fuchikoma......! The round bulge on its back somehow makes it look like a creature and it's cute.
Yes. So, the reason why I wanted to introduce Tachikoma this time is......because I found a Plastic Model of Tachikoma!
