Hello everyone. I'm the Boss from Plastic Model Republic, and I usually introduce cool robots and cute girls' Plastic Models, but this time I want to introduce a slightly different Plastic Model Series.

Oh! A different Plastic Model Series than usual! I'm excited! I'm Saori from Plastic Model Republic!

Yes! Today, I'm going to introduce a Plastic Model Series that reproduces a scene that you don't see much in Japan today, and just looking at it will somehow make you feel nostalgic!

What is the Fuubutsushi Series?

The Fuubutsushi Series is a diorama-type Plastic Model Series that is easy to assemble, released by MICRO ACE Co., Ltd. Based on the concept of “Reproducing the good old days of the Showa era”, the Fuubutsushi Series is designed.
Showa is a Japanese era that lasted from 1926 to 1989, a total of 62 years. It is the longest era in Japan, and after World War II, various cultures and values spread, and the politics, culture, and people's lives and values in Japan changed dramatically.
The Fuubutsushi Series, which recreates such Showa scenery, often comes with optional parts to increase realism, not just buildings and stalls.

Personally, I have an image of Showa as wooden and slightly old buildings.

That's right. Conversely, after Showa, various buildings and global trends were incorporated into Japan, and wooden buildings disappeared rapidly. Even if they are left in Japan, they are now a bit of a rare sight in modern Japan, enough to become tourist spots.

Ah, indeed. You can't see buildings like this in the city anymore. Japan has a lot of earthquakes, so buildings without earthquake resistance have been disappearing. But looking at it as a diorama like this, you can feel the Japanese atmosphere, and it's very nice......
The number of parts is not that large, but there may be a few more steps than usual in assembling a Plastic Model, as you may sprinkle color powder on the base!

The Fuubutsushi Series recreates various buildings, so it's not easy to say it's easy or difficult, but it's a series that you can assemble with the same feeling as a regular diorama. Depending on the base, you may sprinkle color powder to reproduce the ground, so the work process may be a little more! But once you finish, you can enjoy a scenery that feels wabi-sabi, so try assembling it as a breather from the Plastic Model!
