Today! A sequel anime was suddenly announced!? I want to check out the breaking news for that robot anime announced as part of the Sunrise 50th anniversary!

To begin with, Armored Trooper Votoms is a robot TV anime series that aired from 1983 to 1984! It is an ensemble drama where the protagonist puts an end to a long-running robot war in a certain galaxy! At the time, Gundam was very famous as a robot anime themed around war, but Armored Trooper Votoms, where director Ryosuke Takahashi fully displayed the human drama and realistic robot depictions cultivated in ’Fang of the Sun Dougram,’ is a work called the ’pinnacle of real robot anime’ with a drama, excitement, and charm different from Gundam! ......Come to think of it, the fact that the first episode of the Armored Trooper Votoms anime suddenly became available for viewing about six months ago might have been a precursor to this 50th anniversary project.

This time, as it is the first completely new work in about 15 years, Mamoru Oshii, who is world-renowned for ’GHOST IN THE SHELL’ and the ’Mobile Police Patlabor’ series, has been appointed as director!
