But the moment I held it, I was sure, “Ah, this is different.” The Pokémon Scale World series realistically reproduces that world where humans and Pokémon live together, almost like a diorama. Moreover, the scale is about 1/20. Although small, the details are meticulously crafted. The realism, as if it jumped straight out of the anime, immediately captivated me.

Featured this time is “Mega Gyarados” from the Kalos region. This one isn't just a Gyarados. Its form, evolved through Mega Evolution, is nothing less than a mythical Eastern dragon itself. Its body color is black with red and yellow accents, giving it an overwhelming presence that impresses anyone who sees it. In particular, the large fins on its back and its thick body are truly “the King of the Sea who has come ashore.” Personally, those long, extended horns and whiskers are irresistible...... It has maximum intimidation but somehow also conveys a sense of intelligence.

What's also interesting from a lore perspective is Mega Gyarados's fighting style. It accelerates rapidly by jetting water from the vents on its sides, and its speed when leaping out of the water is said to exceed Mach 1...... A beautiful yet dangerous entity. That complex appeal is vividly conveyed through the figure.
